Averham, St Michael’s

2015: restoration of the fine two-manual Binns patent pneumatic action organ, 20 stops.

The instrument lay dormant for 30 years and was completely unplayable, having been infested by mice. It is one of only two organs in Britain to have three distinct winding systems – hand blowing, electric blower, and water pump.
